NASCAR Camping World Truck Series – 2010 Chevy Silverado
Chris Jones of Forest, Virginia is the
driver of the LCS Motorsports #87 NASCAR Camping World Truck.
Chris began his racing career at the age of
nine racing go-karts on the red clay tracks of central Virginia.
He won is very first kart race and continued on to capture the
championship in his kart division that season. He moved forward
in the next few years to the MMRA Mini-Cup division , NASCAR
Late Model Trucks and then on to the NASCAR Late Model Stock
Cars.
Chris captured Rookie of The Year title in
2005 at the famed Motor Mile Speedway in Radford Virginia. This
led to his subsequent sponsorship with the US Marine Corp. Chris
carried the Marine colors on his race cars through the 2007
season.
In October 2007 Chris was chosen to drive
the 08 Camping World Truck Series for GLR in the Martinsville,
Phoenix and Homestead Miami Camping World Truck Series.
In 2008 Chris has continued to drive in
the Camping World Truck Series, driving the #87 for LCS Motorsports
and the #0 Truck for Green Light Racing of Mooresville NC.
In 2009 Chris competed in 13 Camping World
Truck Series events ranking 36th among the race truck drivers.
He led twice at the famed Talladega Super Speedway and was
awarded the Wix Filters Lap Leader award.
Chris' skills continue to improve and plans
to run at least 24 of the 25 scheduled 2010 races.
